Focus Pediatrics partnered with Aktiv as a new, independent pediatric healthcare provider. The project involved developing new branding, a website, and an integrated patient intake form to efficiently capture patient information in a secure and HIPAA-compliant manner. Impact

The newly designed branding reflects the vision of the Focus Pediatrics team, creating a cohesive identity. Project

Aktiv was engaged to redesign the rPeptide website. The company had outgrown their previous websites capabilities. Aktiv chose to integrate the site into Wordpress with the WooCommerce e-commerce platform. The new design would also include new branding to highlight their new image. SEO was also required to attract new customers and rank high in organic search for keywords.

Impact

Project

We planned to build LexisNexis Risk Solutions, a new responsive finance academy website that utilizes a dynamic layout and intuitive user experience. The new website would also integrate with the WordPress CMS and SAML v.2.0 to allow single sign-on for end-users managed in an Azure managed Sharepoint environment. Key to the project would be intuitive management of the navigation, taxonomy, pages, headings, taglines, images, and other website content for site administrators and editors.

Impact

We designed a platform that intuitively organizes and provides dynamic search of content for internal professional training & development. The new intranet allows for internal new hire onboarding and knowledge transfer, leading to more productivity. Employees have a central platform for internal announcements, keeping content current and relevant.

Our team also retained a cohesive look-and-feel inline with the LexisNexis Risk Solutions Group brand. The intranet is optimized for both mobile devices and desktop devices accessible via internal InfoSec policies. The intranet was designed with a simple and logical website navigation strategy that is easily expanded upon for future growth. An entire organization chart was added to the project, with a dynamic taxonomy built in to filtering on a range of categories and terms, allowing employees to find knowledge experts and direct reports quickly and intuitively.

Overview

Davis-Adams is a 15-year-old law firm that specializes in complex medical litigation. Most of their cases involve medical malpractice; what they are known for in Atlanta and nation-wide.

Project

This project aimed to revitalize the law firm's online presence, with a focus on enhancing its unique branding which sets it apart from conventional attorney websites. We intend to develop a user-friendly navigation system that smoothly guides users through our extensive malpractice and other catastrophic injury/wrongful death case pages. Previous website analytics data shows that approximately two-thirds of clients discovered the firm through the website, underscoring the importance of this redesign.

The motivation for this overhaul stems from several critical issues identified with the current website. Feedback indicated that the site was visually unappealing, overly cluttered, and failed to align with the firm's branding strategy. Additionally, analytics revealed that most visitors landed directly on practice area pages rather than the homepage, yet conversion rates were disappointingly low. This pointed to a fundamental flaw in the website's design, characterized by a lack of cohesive visual elements and content styles. The existing layout was not only unengaging but also failed to capture the attention of potential clients. Our goal is to address these shortcomings by creating a more visually appealing, cohesive, and brand-consistent website that effectively engages and converts visitors.

Impact

Aktiv worked with the law firm to recreate a new website from the ground up. A new color scheme, branding and styled components were designed to match an updated logo, to visually communicate clean, fresh and sophisticated. A new mega menu system was developed to highlight key focus areas while also allowing exploration into all practice areas. Aktiv developed a database of testimonials, video blogs and dynamic case verdict relationships to practice areas. The client has complete control over creating new pages with several pre-designed modules. All landing pages have a simple targeted contact form for ease of conversion and tracking. On-site SEO was included to optimize all pages. The site launch was a success with impressive visual design that communicates these lawyers are for complex cases, improved SEO and improved conversion rates.

In anticipation of a re-branding effort and the launch of their highly anticipated website redesign, Friendship Force international approached Aktiv to build a platform to allow them to collect user-submitted stories about how their exchanges have impacted the lives of individuals around the world.

Impact

The responsive microsite for the Stories of Friendship initiative was a massive success, allowing user-submitted stories and imagery to be captured worldwide through the website translation and social marketing campaigns. Overview

SouthCrest Bank is one of the oldest banks in the country, in service for over 100 years in Georgia and Alabama. SouthCrest is a full-service retail bank offering consumer and commercial loans, checking, savings, credit cards, online banking, bill pay, and investments.

Project

SouthCrest Bank is a forward thinking institution with deep roots. As such, they knew that the would need to couple a responsive website with modern services like online banking if they wanted to remain relevant. At the same time, they did not want a major redesign to alienate their loyal customers. That required an update to their technology while staying true to their roots.

Impact

After conducting an extensive discovery workshop aimed to identifying the needs of SouthCrest’s target audiences and current clients. This information was used to build a responsive .Net website that spoke to both audiences, and featured a complete set of online banking tools, allowing SouthCrest to break into new markets without alienating their users.

Simmons Sleep Sells

Overview

Since 1870, Simmons has been a pioneering mattress brand aimed at transforming the way we sleep. One of the leading mattress manufacturers in the world, Simmons’ brands are still evolving to provide their customers more comfort at a better value.

Project

Simmons needed a web-tool to help train and educate mattress store employees on their products; helping retail store employees on tablets locate and sell products that will serve the needs of their customers for years to come.

Impact

A custom responsive Wordpress web portal that allows store employees to register, manage their accounts, locate product information, complete training courses, participate in competitions, submit surveys, contact local representatives and much more; leading to better-equipped salesmen in the fields selling Simmons products.

Pyramid has been delivering business technology solutions since 1996. Alliances with companies like Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, and HP Pyramid to deliver solutions optimized for specific industries, applications, and computing environments.

Project

Our strategic partner Media Frenzy had started a re-messaging project with their client Pyramid. They came to us as a partner to work with both teams to redesign a website that was not effectively communicating their value proposition.

Impact

Aktiv designed a brand new Wordpress driven website from the ground-up, utilizing new content and brand positioning to create a best-in-class user experience. The website uses modern design interfaces and techniques including mega-menus to guide visitors to the services they are looking for as well as incorporating dynamically driven tagged content for each service. The new website is built with scalability to keep up with Pyramids growth.

Overview

NAUI, or The National Association of Underwater Instructors, is a global scuba diving organization focusing on providing the highest quality training and education to divers around the world. NAUI membership is exclusive to highly trained diving professionals and dive shop owners, but their training and courses are available to anyone interested in the sport of scuba diving.

Project

NAUI required a complete responsive redesign of their marketing website, a re-development of their huge database and an overhaul of their account management, member services and eLearning functionality. NAUI also wanted to 2 completely new additions to their web presence: mobile applications for Android and iOS, and a full-featured eCommerce implementation.

Impact

Breaking this huge Umbraco project into multiple phases, went to market with a website to positive feedback from the diving community. The site is fully responsive, and has brought NAUI to the forefront of the diving world with a stunning design, resources for divers and Umbraco CMS for easy updates. eCommerce, eLearning, member services, Android and iOS apps are all currently in development.

Overview

Meybohm Realtors is the #1 real estate firm in the CSRA, and has continued to grow steadily since it’s incorporation in 1977. Meybohm has offices throughout Augusta, Georgia and Aiken, South Carolina, and lists many of the most elite homes in those markets.

Project

Meybohm had initially hired another prominent firm to build a brand-new web platform that would include a redesigned responsive website, a portal for realtor's and a zillow-like experience for displaying MLS listings. About ½ way through that process, the firm could not meet Meybohm’s needs, so they decided to redesign the site and properly integrate a the platform.

Impact

With phase 1 completed, Meybohm is proud to showcase their responsive website featuring a property finder, impactful calls to action, an easy to use sign-up, account tools, property saving, custom analytics, events and an extensive listing filter.

Overview

Mission Communications was the first and one of the largest companies in supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) for water and wastewater monitoring for municipalities across America. Along with services of monitoring, control, databasing, and automated notifications, Mission Communications also manufacturers a catalog of products to support SCADA services.

Project

Mission Communications contracted Aktiv to completely overhaul the information architecture, design and back-end for their website. The website had hundreds of pages consisting of product pages, services, and support pages, but very little of a brand presence or concise messaging.

Impact

Along with a brand overhaul, the site is easily managed in a custom Wordpress integration. The site is much easier to navigate and now has dedicated landing pages that effectively communicate what SCADA is and why Mission Communications is the best choice for a managed solution with calls-to-action that speak to their target audience.

Overview

Founded in 1946, Kelly-Moore Paints’ mission is to provide high quality, innovative products with exceptional service at a fair value. Kelly-Moore Paints is an employee-owned company whose American-made paints are found at retailers throughout the country.

Project

Kelly-Moore Paints had a non-responsive website, and their analytics revealed an increasing number of mobile visitors. As complaints about the website grew, Kelly-Moore approached us to remedy the situation with a responsive redesign and .NET CMS integration.

Impact

The response to the redesign was so positive that Kelly-Moore hired us on retainer to continue to work on the website monthly through ongoing design, development and marketing support. New phases were added that included a homepage update, how-to videos, landing pages, custom analytics events, news/events, SalesForce integration and billpay support.

Overview

Holiday Inn Express is a nationwide hotel chain within the IHG family of brands. Designed for the smart traveler, Holiday Inn Express means clean, consistent, and comfortable rooms wherever you go. It’s everything you need in a hotel and nothing you don’t.

Project

The Architecture and Design department of IHG had an a series of design submittal forms and documents that did not properly represent the brand or information that needed to be provided to the owners design teams.

Impact

Aktiv redesigned and updated multi-page interactive PDF's with Adobe InDesign. These were updated with brand standards and redesigned for increased usability and scalability, leading to submittals being efficiently maintained and standardizing the approval process.

IngevityToday

Overview

Ingevity, an independent company that was originally the specialty chemicals branch of the WestRock Company, provides specialty chemicals and high-performance carbon materials and technologies to help customers solve complex problems in products like adhesives, asphalt, oil, lubrication, automotive parts and inks.

Project

In anticipation of its separation from the WestRock Company, Ingevity needed an intranet platform to manage employee benefits, payroll, investments, vacation, etc. as soon as it was legally separated. In addition to the need for an independent system, Ingevity also wanted to solve many of the problems that had plagued their previous intranet.

Impact

After a thorough examination of all the third-party services involved, a custom custom intranet platform that provided a single sign-on experience to all employee services was developed. This was coupled with an extensive database of internal employee training materials and contact information to provide a comprehensive platform for all employee needs.

Overview

Friendship Force is a non-profit cultural organization focused on promoting understanding, cultural education and citizen diplomacy through facilitating global homestay Journeys and personal friendships.

Project

In an effort to expand their user base, attract younger travels and facilitate a better online user experience, Friendship Force undertook a complete redesign and restructure of their web presence from the ground up.

Impact

The launch of the new custom Wordpress driven website was marked with praise from both Friendship Force end-users and club organizers. The website featured a completely new responsive design that was warm, welcoming and full of imagery and content that inspired visitors to join. Brand new dynamic functionality like the club finder and journeys pages allow Friendship Force to promote trips in ways never before possible. The website has had such an impact, the Friendship Force team immediately wanted to move into phase 2 upgrades.

Overview

Double Eagle Distributing is an exclusive beverage distributor in Broward and Palm Beach counties. Formed in 1984 to provide a quality experience in beverage distribution, it was awarded both Anheuser-Busch InBev’s top performers and the Ambassador of Excellence gold distinction.

Project

Double Eagle needed a way to highlight three core components of their company: what they do, how they do it, and the products they offer. After feedback from their clients revealed their website was frustrating to use, they wanted to create a website that wowed visitors, told their story, and showcased the range of beverages they offer in an interactive way.

Impact

Built in Sitefinity CMS, the new Double Eagle website is fully responsive, and immerses visitors by highlighting their facilities, showcasing their process and telling their story. The website includes a fully functional beverage search feature paired with a beverage filter that allows users to quickly sort the available products for beverages that fit their unique needs.

Overview

The Decathlon’s participants take the athletic and fund raising challenge very seriously, matching the founder's passion for athletic competition and performance-based fund raising.

Project

Since the project was succeeding in it's goals, along with a fully featured registration system with timed-based functionality for betting and event tracking, the Decathlon also needed a professional new identity, including logo, styles, and iconography.

Impact

We made registering an easy and fun multi-step wizard. After registration was closed, we rolled out the donation portion of the site. Sponsors were incorporated. This was the first year that betting donations were involved. New tools were developed to show potential donation limits. To foster executive competition we decided to have multiple age groupings, with winners in each and an exclusive the Executive level. Each group would have top overall athlete, top event athlete and top fund raiser. To foster competition among the firms we decided to have matchup bets of firm against firm and inter-firm rivalries.

The day of the event the new website raised $499,244.00 in donations.

Overview

“Advancing the Global IT Industry”, the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA), is a non-profit trade association created in 1982. CompTIA is a provider of membership, education, certifications, philanthropy and public advocacy for the IT industry.

Project

CompTIA's goal was to create a visually engaging Hall of Fame website to highlight both inductees and information technology advances through the decades. This design would feature strong, crisp images, interactivity, scroll-based animations, parallax and other design techniques that engage users and drive interest.

Impact

Built in Umbraco, CompTIA’s new IT Hall of Fame site engages visitors through narrative storytelling, modern design and interactive UX techniques. The website is the focal point of the brand-new main lobby at the CompTIA corporate offices, and was designed to match the decor and color scheme of the central foyer where it is on display as a large-format touchscreen monitor that is both a screensaver and interactive kiosk for guests.

Overview

For over 100 years, General Tire has been a leader in tire innovation, bringing new styles to market and producing top quality products designed for every condition, on or off the road.

Project

General Tire approached the team because it’s outdated design was not resonating with it’s tech-centric target audiences. Determined to remain at the top of their industry, we built a responsive website with an aggressive design and detailed landing pages for each tire.

Impact

General Tire noticed an immediate difference in their traffic with improved user metrics, especially from mobile visitors. A viral campaign that involved collecting user pictures and driving traffic to the brand new website was also implemented.

The Calhoun County Economic Development Council is focused on bringing new business to Calhoun County and helping existing businesses thrive. They provide tax incentive information, identify growth opportunities, coordinate partnerships and provide training programs.

Project

The Calhoun County EDC competes on a global level to bring business to their county, and needed a way to promote themselves online. Since their previous website was outdated and very difficult to navigate, they were not able to properly showcase their available properties, putting them at a competitive disadvantage.

Impact

A fully-responsive parallax website in Wordpress provides the EDC with a modern design they are proud to show potential clients. The website is integrated with the WordPress CMS to allow them to update and manage the website internally; and includes a featured properties section so the EDC can promote specific properties as they see fit.

The Aristotle Center is an interdisciplinary academic forum for exploring the connections between the sciences and the humanities, bridging the growing academic gap between these disciplines.

Project

The Aristotle Center, a new institution located at Emory and Henry College, enlisted Aktiv to build them a new modern prototype website that showcases the organization and its academic material. The site uses text, video, and podcasts to foster a connection between the religious and scientific communities and provide resources for academics studying both.

Impact

The Aristotle Center a web presence that they use to demonstrate their vision on a small scale while pursuing additional funding to build out their full platform. The website provides the Center the ability to host podcasts, videos, lesson plans, articles, papers and other material for the academic community.

American Dairy Goat Association

ADGA's promotes the dairy goat industry by providing and circulating sound information about goats and goats' milk, maintaining and publishing herd books and production records of milk goats, and issuing certificates of registration and recordation.

Project

Although ADGA was already offering their users a wide range of member services, they wanted to find additional efficiencies in their processes, and create a more streamlined experience for users. To accomplish this, the web-based business applications were redesigned with a common design and modern technical architecture. The applications were then integrated into the existing websites security infrastructure.

Impact

Both end-user and internal technical support costs have decreased as member satisfaction has increased as a result of the redesign. Members have tools that are more functional and easier to use.

Action Tire Company is a 30-year-old American family-owned corporation. Specializing in industrial retreads, Action Tire Company provides tire sales and services in 12 locations across Georgia and Alabama for a variety of tire sizes from lawn mower, boat trailer, forklift, R.V., car, truck and off the road tires.

Project

Action Tire approached the Aktiv because its website was unresponsive and using outdated technology and irrelevant content. The wanted to have a CMS driven website where they could keep their multiple services updated with pricing and descriptions. They also needed to display where they are located with service locations and ranges to portray their slogan of any-time, anyplace “Call Action for Satisfaction” to get your business rolling!

Impact

Determined to put Action Tire at the top of their industry, we built a custom Wordpress responsive website with a modern design that works great on mobile devices and detailed landing pages for each service as well as a complete resource library to help educate their visitors.
